Practical Intelligence provides affordable craft courses in wood, silver and guitar making available to the whole community.
Our aim in all our groups is to promote confidence and self-belief whilst developing practical skills. The groups are small and are taught by skilled, professional craftsmen in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We run weekly courses in wood, silver, and guitar making and also have weekend courses making English longbows, kitchen and craft knives and Automita.
Our production workshop makes items to sell with anyone out of work looking for meaningful activity. Products are sold in local shops and Craft Fairs. Pi Guitars builds guitars from recycled wood with a team of volunteers. We are a not-for-profit company and are based in the Nailsworth Subscription Rooms
